Imagine what you could learn from a leader who was hired to take over six different failing organizations and made each a success within two years.
Lou Holtz was the football coach at William and Mary, North Carolina State, University of Arkansas, University of Minnesota, University of Notre Dame and South Carolina.
When he retired from Notre Dame, Lou Holtz had led Notre Dame to nine consecutive bowl games and a national championship.
Lou Holtz soon returned to coaching at the University of South Carolina – a failing program that had gone 1-10 the previous season and was in the top 20 only once in its 107 year history. By his second season, Lou Holtz led South Carolina to a victory in the Outback Bowl over Ohio State.
Amazingly, it was the sixth time Lou Holtz had taken a losing team to a bowl game within two years of taking over as head coach.
In 1988, Lou Holtz filmed “Do Right!”, an introduction to the fundamental values at the heart of his inspirational leadership. “Do Right!” became the best selling corporate video in America.
In the summer of 2006, Lou Holtz introduced "Do Right: The Plan", an innovative plan for applying the values introduced in "Do Right!" to achieving individual and organizational success. |
